Dec. 9 (Bloomberg) -- The Czech economy probably grew an annual 4.9 percent in the third quarter, the second-fastest pace in nine years, a survey of economists shows.The expansion in the $111 billion economy, based on the median estimate in a Bloomberg survey of 13 economists, would be down from 5.1 percent in the April-June quarter. The statistics office will publish the report at 9 a.m. today in Prague.

Economic growth in the Czech Republic, the second largest of the EU's 10 mainly eastern European new members, trailed neighboring Slovakia in the quarter. Expansion outpaced that of Poland, the biggest accession state, and Hungary.
