Foreign countries' debt to Czech Republic falls to CZK 37.2 billion in 12 years(PDM staff with CTK) 28 November - Foreign countries owed the Czech Republic CZK 37.2 billion at the end of August 2005, compared with CZK 156 billion in 1993 when the independent state emerged in the split of the former Czechoslovakia, the data CTK received from the Finance Ministry showed.
However, the Czech Republic's debt abroad is considerably higher than its claims on foreign countries.
