Na internetové petici "Zrušme komunisty", která se zasazuje o novelu trestního zákona zakazujícího propagaci komunismu, jsou také jména osob, které ji svým podpisem nepodpořili, uvádí středeční Právo. Mezi falešnými podpisy přitom figuruje i jméno prezidenta Václava Klause.

False signatures, including that of president Klaus, were found on the 'Let's Ban Communism' petition which has been soliciting support both off and on-line and creating much controversy since January 2005. The petition has attracted support from some prominent celebrities and politicians (some of whose fame goes all the way back to 1989). The president's spokesperson vehemently denied that the president would ever sign "anything like this".
