AP Wire | 11/21/2005 | Report: Ex-Czech president to write play
Vaclav Havel, the former Czech president, is planning to write a new play.
"I have it already well thought out," the daily Pravo on Monday quoted Havel as saying. "In my head, it's almost finished. There's just one little thing - to write it down."
Havel didn't give any details, and he refused to say when he would start writing.
However, he has said he planned to write a play based on Shakespeare's "King Lear," as well as an autobiography.
Havel, 69, was a well-known dissident playwright when he led the 1989 revolution that peacefully toppled the communist regime in his country. He became leader of Czechoslovakia in December 1989.
Quite a number of English language papers have picked up this AP story. What more is there to say?
