The number of Czechs favoring the reintroduction of the death penalty has decreased by 9% to 57% of the population.

Většina obyvatel si myslí, že v České republice by měl existovat trest smrti. Tento názor zastává podle říjnového výzkumu CVVM 57 procent lidí. Ve srovnání s obdobným výzkumem z března ale počet zastánců tohoto trestu v říjnu poklesl o devět procent.

This is in an interesting contrast to the recent calls for the death penalty for the killers of a woman police officer in the UK. Although, should there be a similar event in the CR, such calls would no doubt surface there as well.
