Czech spas growing on international fame
Key assets of Czech spas are their offer of natural curative sources such as abundant mineral water, gas and mud. Together with favorable climate, these resources allow for an extensive range of procedures in practically all categories of treatment. And then there’s a notable medical tradition, too. In diverse areas of spa treatment, the Czech Republic is regarded as a pioneer on the European and even worldwide level. Moreover, there is the splendor and history of West Bohemian spa towns as Karlovy Vary, Mariánské Lázně and Františkovy Lázně. In their 19th century heydays, these spa towns were also known internationally as Carlsbad, Marienbad and Franzenbad, and the clientele included the cream of society and nobility.
