How to drink Czech beer outside the Czech Republic

Czech beer exports reach record figures in 2005 - 20-01-2006 - Radio Prague
Beer is without a doubt one of the Czech Republic's best-known products. It attracts thousands to visit the country but Czech brews are also increasingly available abroad. While domestic consumption remains roughly the same, export figures are growing by the year. Last year the volume of exported Czech beer reached a record 3 million hectolitres.

It seems there's more and more Czech beer outside the Czech Republic. But the problem is, it's not just the beer, it's how you serve it, as well. Remember, Czech beer should be served chilled with a generous head of foam and a lot of bars in the English speaking world are used to serving warm(ish) ales (not to speak about the CO2 they use to pump it up). That's why on the rare occasion that I have Czech beer in the UK, for instance, I prefer it in a bottle, although in Prague I would only drink draft beer.
