Czechs are not nearly as prolific card writers as the English but they certainly send out lots of them on special occasions. The typical New Year card bears the acronym PF (from the French pour féliciter) and is refered to in Czech as 'péefko'. Most people send a postcard (pohled) but many people and companies make their own.
