My tři králové deme k vám, štěstí, zdraví vinšujem vám.
Štěstí, zdraví, dlouhá léta, my jsme k vám přišli z daleka.

These are the beginning words of a 'koleda' or 'carol' mentioning the 'tři králové' or 'three wise men' (lit. kings). And January 6 (day of Epiphany) is the day of the star of Bethlehem revealing to them the birth of the savior. Traditionally, it was a day for much carolling and processions in the Czech lands but these days it is mostly known as the day on which the Christmas tree is taken down, described by the phrase odstrojit stromeček which literally means 'to unclothe the tree' which is the opposite of ustrojit stromeček, i.e. to decorate the Christmas tree or literally 'to clothe the little tree'.

The Czech version of the wise men's names are: Kašpar, Melichar a Baltazar.
