Kofola produces and supplies soft drinks in central Europe. Besides the Czech Republic, the company also operates in Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. The company’s 2005 consolidated revenues exceeded CZK 2.8 bln (about 99 million euro). The firm currently has a workforce of over 1,000.

To many or most non-Czechs, Kofola means nothing. But for Czechs (in their 30th and up) it brings back the days of their youth, when we were imagining Coca Cola commercials and drinking Kofola. It is another one of the products that was revived (or at least had a resurgence of popularity) in the late 1990s. Just goes to show that nostalgia runs deep. It even has its own Wikipedia entry both in English and Czech.
