Perceptions of bribery

Czech clerks take bribes from big firms -politicians, managers
Prague- Clerks at Czech ministries and other central state offices take bribes most frequently, and primarily large Czech companies corrupt them, politicians and managers said in a poll released today.

...

Politicians and businesspeople said in the poll that in their opinion corruption in the Czech Republic has not increased since 2001. According to them, the situation is slightly worse in Prague over a higher concentration of state offices in the capital.

...Sociologists called it positive that most respondents agreed that corruptive behaviour mars the chances of politicians and political parties in elections.

Compared to the rest of the world, Czech corruption seems to be relative moderate overall but pretty ubiquitous in some areas (construction, medicine). But it is a big topic of conversation and this survey shows what these conversations tend to be about.
