Prague- The painting Elevation IV by Czech painter František Kupka fetched 22.1 million crowns at today's auction in Prague-Zofin, setting a new domestic auction record.
The painting pushed to second position another work by the same author that was auctioned for 13.4 million in May.
Kupka (1871-1957), one of the founders of abstract arts, spent a large part of his life in France where he also died.
