How to start learning Czech?

Hello everyone!

I want to start learning Czech language and don't know from what to begin. Could you please give me advice how to start, any tips, any online books, web sites, audiobooks in the internet. Because when learning foreign language it is very important to hear the pronunciation of the words, intonation but I don't have possibilities to to to Czech Republic now.

 From Slavic languages I speak Russian can it be helpful?

Hi, being a Czech teacher and having a lot of students in my class room that have tried learning themselves from a book... I can say that it is really difficult trying it by yourself. Even with books (Lida Hola Step by Step comes with Audio CD) it will be tough but it off course also depends on your motivation.
