A site designed to sell more powerful dictionaries in software form. This free on-line version nonetheless gives access to a reasonable range of Czech-English-Czech equivalents. Plus it is the only online dictionary to distinguish between parts of speech.

A number of tests and quizzes for vocabulary and phrase between many languages. Includes correct answers but is not interactive.

Although it brands itself a full language course, this is too ambitious. But it can be recommended as an interesting vocabulary building aid which may be very useful to some users. It introduces Czech words through associations with English words and phrases. No grammar is mentioned. Only a sample is free but a full course can be had for relatively little (under US$10).

A decent online dictionary which doesn't use diacritics, however (could be a plus if you're not sure about a particular Czech word). Also contains a German/Czech dictionary.

James Naughton's page offers a learner's dictionary to download and use offline. Also many classical Czech texts with annotations and translations.
