Slovak on Bohemica.com

Slovak Online is a selection of useful materials for learners of Slovak taken from a resource CD-ROM developed by Peace Corps Slovakia as a legacy of its 12-year work in the country. The materials are free for non-profit use.

The PC Legacy CD-ROM contains many more useful materials including audio, dictionaries, games, language teaching pictures and lesson plans for teachers of Slovak as a foreign language. Due to space constraints, these couldn't be made available online. You can read more about the materials on the CD-ROM here. A limited version of the CD-ROM can now be obtained via Lulu.com/Bohemica.

Slovak Textbook
A complete textbook of Slovak following a 12-week intensive course. Not suitable for self-study.

Slovak Grammar
An overview of Slovak grammar by Tomáš Dratva. Written in Slovak with an abbreviated English translation.

Slovak Workbook
A collection of exercises accompanying the Slovak Textbook.

The links above lead to PDF documents only. Acrobat Reader 3 or later is needed to make a full use of them. They can be saved to disk, printed and used for teaching but not sold. Email former Peace Corps Slovakia Language Coordinator Jitka Koštenská with questions about use.

Basic Slovak also contains links to audio files which are of course not active without the CD-ROM. The CD-ROM can now be obtained via Lulu.com/Bohemica.
